Prime Minister Modi Encourages German Businesses to Join India’s Growth Story

At the 18th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited German companies to invest in India, asserting that there is no better time to participate in the country’s growth trajectory. He emphasized India's potential as a global trade and manufacturing hub.

Modi expressed admiration for Germany's confidence in India's skilled workforce, noting that the European nation has significantly increased the number of visas for skilled Indian professionals, from 20,000 to 90,000. This move reflects a growing partnership between the two countries.

"This is the right time to join India’s growth story," Modi stated, highlighting India's robust foundations in democracy, demographics, demand, and data. He encouraged foreign investors to engage with initiatives like 'Make in India' and 'Make for the World,' which aim to position India as a key player in the global economy.

He also mentioned ongoing record investments in infrastructure, such as roads and ports, underscoring the importance of the Indo-Pacific region for future global prosperity.
